A bunch of Monte Carlo’s, a couple ’65 Impala’s and a ’69 Chevelle SS came together for the Annual Mini Meet and Greet hosted by Leo & Sue Konik.

From Ohio, Capri/Greg, Bob/Tana and Jack/Judy met up at 9am for breakfast before beginning the 4 hour trip to St. Clair, Mi. After breakfast, their next stop was a service plaza on the Ohio Turnpike to meet up with Rick Eckenfels and Bill/Lisa. The journey went well with no major breakdowns or mechanical problems…… unless you count that Capri/Greg forgot their speedometer was broken and had to disconnect it at Bob Evans before starting the drive. That made it a tad tricky to drive 8 hours but we did & got home ticket free. Did I mention that trying to follow Bob was like trying to keep up with Rob Peters in a convoy??? I would like to see the two of them try & follow one another somewhere!

We all arrived and found Tim, Sam, Leo, Phil, Carl & Rob Hanson and within the hour the arrival of Mike. It was a very nice group of FGMCC’ers. Plenty of relaxation & chatting. The weather could not have been more perfect & the food & hospitality of the Konik’s was as you would expect. They are always so welcoming of everyone into their home.
