  1. Just installed my buckets this weekend, and yes there is a lot less leg room.
  2. Did you take the brackets off of the seats at any time? If so, you may have the inner tracks on the wrong seat. I did this, and my seat was all messed up. Too high and too close. I tried sliding both tracks all the way back (without the inner side's spring on) and then looked to see if they were the same.
  3. This is exactly why I love this club and message board. Thanks guys. I'll just do away with it. It sounds like it won't hurt anything to loose it. It wasn't hooked up anyway. Matt
  4. Hey guys, I am cleaning up my engine compartment, and the associated wiring. I gave a little relay that is connected to the plastic wire holder on the firewall. In my Chiltons manual it says that this is a TSC realy, and is connected to a TSC sol. What is this? This realy is not connected to anything on my car. Should it be? What does it do? Thanks, Matt
  5. I have a Covan's dash in my Monte, and I'll go ahead and let you know that there is a little bit of modification that has to be done to the Covan's piece before it will fit. I thought that they were supposed to just bolt in after you cut the original dash, but that is not the case. I had the brushed aluminum one, but I had to paint it due to all the cutting and sanding required. So if you get one, just plan on having to paint it. They did have some burlwood panels that were discounted, so you might could save some money. By the way, the dash looks great once it's in, and yes I would definatly do it again.
  6. The raised side of the bucket seat brackets goes toward the front. Don't do like I did, and have them welded in backwards. Also, remember that your outer holes need to go in 3/4 inch for the seat belt retractors to clear. The 71 buckets that I had had 2 mounting holes for the rear bolts, so I only had to drill new front mounting holes. Yours may be different.
  7. I have a complete interior from a 2001 Monte if anyone wants it. I paid 250 for it on ebay, but will let it go for 200. The drivers seat is power, and it is Charcoal cloth. It includes the two front seat, the back seat, and console. I decided not to put in in my Monte after I found a set of Strato buckets.
