New Update! My SS is up For Sale. Can't seem to find the time to get her done. Not getting any younger but certainly working way more than I planned. Anyway car is 35,000 firm body needs to be done and mated to the finished chassis with finished completely rebuilt matching number driveline. Please call 732 684 3482 if you are serious about buying. I am selling my 71 Monte Carlo SS as I have no time to finish her. Many of you have followed the process of in the SS section under 71 SS. Chassis is done with running matching number driveline however all goodies were done inside so it looks stock outside but the motor has a roller cam and makes just shy of 500 hp on the dyno. It was gonna be made into a 4 speed and it has a completely rebuilt M21 hooked to it as well as rebuilt 331 posi rear. Lots of money was spent on this car just can't seem to get her done. Does anybody remember that post from a few years ago where a member replaced his front dash stereo speakers with Kenwood ones? If someone has the part numbers for those or can forward me that post I would appreciate it. Thanks Joe

Back to working on the Monte. Stripping the fire wall and finishing up the bodywork. Gonna try to get it painted this summer

Gonna try Temco Paints. I heard really good things about them. They were the only ones that told me they could mix my original code 67 Classic Copper. This other color is close but not it. PPG cant mix it, Martin Senior does not have a formula either

Rob I meant next year which will be 50th anniversary of the 1971 Monte. I am working on body work now and hoping to have it painted in spring or early summer. Still super busy at work but I gotta get me car done as I need to be behind the wheel and enjoying it

Yes it will be painted it's original color of Classic Copper
