  1. I had a similar issue on my wifes' '02 Trans Am with the LS1, turned out to be the starter solenoid and found out the hard way that the solenoid itself is not replaceable on that generation of F-Body, had to get new starter and solenoid....That car and its driver is a drama mama
  2. Fiber optic on my '71, took it out when I changed over to LEDs on the cluster
  3. Lovin' my Morris's and using with high back Procar seats with no issues. The seatbeltsplus look like a reasonable facsimile though, made in USA too <MAGA>
  4. I know, old post but if you converted backlight bulbs to LED, you might have one in "backwards". I recently converted to LED's and while testing, I purposefully put one in backwards polarity and dash lights would not power up, makes sense since they are all in series. I corrected the polarity and they powered up. RT
  5. Whats the purpose of the separator assembly?
  6. Did you have to modify the floor of the car for the 4L60E? Did you use all the accessories and brackets from the Fbody? Thanks
  7. Thanks again Doug, I'll try NAPA in person, their website is pesky ...
  8. Doug: Thanks for the reply but omg... $90 for a hose, yikes
  9. Anyone here have a brand/part number for lower rad hose for a sbc that wont collapse? Mine currently doesnt have the spring in it and I cant find a seller locally that has hose spring combo anymore Thanks RT
  10. Finished my Mark VIII electric fan upgrade. I trimmed the fans surround to fit snug deep in the back of the OEM shroud. Engine bay looks OEM except has no power robbing clutch fan. I also used the BMW dual temperature fan switch and the Volvo fan relays. Very happy with this mod. New Kenwood head unit with Bluetooth goes in tomorrow, hidden of course
  11. Here's an update to my problem: I replaced the ignition module with a known good spare in my toolbox and set the base timing to 12 btdc, no more spitting and sputtering. I suspected that the noxious odor and bluish smoke at startup might be attributed to bad valve stem seals. Sure enough I removed springs on Cyl. 1 and all spark plugs (fouled) and found only the intake had a seal, exh. did not, same with other cyl's I replaced and installed with the old school umbrella type seals and an o-ring seal for safe measure on each valve, replced all plugs with .045 gap, set valve lash and voila, engine runs like a champ now! Unrelated to my problem, I also found that the radiator was only a one row rad, upgraded to a 3 row brass rad You just can't depend other peoples work, unfortunately...
  12. Me too, Murray. Maybe we could have a Monte Convoy from AZ
  13. Yes, new allen type bolts are included
  14. you all are right, I bit the bullet and bought and installed the morris belts
  15. Can't recall on the '70, but my '71 has two female two male per side on the front. Note, the shoulder belt is a little wider at the male/female connection as opposed to the lap belt. I'll be selling my front setup soon to include the center passenger lap belt, as I'm installing the Morris 3 point belts soon. LMK if you're interested Art
  16. Group Buy is finished, but they still gave me 5% off. Nice people and they get back with you really fast too Mine are on the way
  17. This is the one I used to install mine, BTW I used JB Weld to tack the bracket to the floor
  18. That looks like a good mirror, Murph It's got good reviews on Amazon too Gonna order mine soon. Got any left over windlace?
  19. Has anybody here upgraded their rear view mirror to something new and improved? My OEM one has the factory map light, but the slider/switch became brittle and doesn't work anymore. Any suggestions as to what else I could change out the mirror to with map lights? thanks Art
