  1. I have a multi-meter. I doubt the issue is at the lights themselves because all of them do not work.
  2. Looking for ideas on how to troubleshoot an electrical issue. All new harnesses. Parking lights work. Brake lights and turn signals do not. Also four way flashers do not work. I did a conversion from columns shift to console while redoing the interior.
  3. I used this this guy out of Arizona for the am/fm 8-track: http://www.barrys8trackrepair.com/. Added blue tooth and USB plus full on refurbish.
  4. I have an extra set of brackets for the compressor. Apparently while collecting parts to revive my load leveler system I bought two sets about three years apart. They are still new in box.
  5. In week 2 of the season Kevin's dream is interrupted by a remake of Cheech and Chong Up in Smoke. Lions lose to the Packers in Green Bay.

    Mystery part

Thanks again Monte family. I thought it might be there to secure the flasher from flopping around.

    Mystery part

Can someone help me identify what this is and where it goes. I seem to recall it was used under the dash, drivers side. I may be wrong.
  8. i used one of those cups to fix one of holes in the dash that had the original cup cut out. I also used a bit of JB Weld to secure it tightly to the dash.
  9. Thanks - posted just yesterday with the same question. Ordered a set of them - they seem to be the right size base on stud thickness which I gauged to be approx 1/8 inch. Are these used on the trunk lock emblem too? Reason I ask is I got a new emblem and it came with nuts instead - which would be a b**ch to use with the trunk lock and latch already in place.
  10. Correct - Zinc plated. Just dropped mine off for polishing - inserts and outer case (for rear seat area).
  11. AMK. Bought interior and exterior kits. I'll have lots of leftover nuts and bolts when all is said and done!

    Rear Air Shocks

Got mine from the parts place - SU6472Z. Painted them. They look great.
  13. Do barrel nuts hold the Monte Carlo emblems that are behind the quarter windows on the vinyl top? Re chromed and then painted - ready to go back on. Here's a picture of one of them.
  14. Here's a shot of the installed window switch. Fun times taking back seat and all side panels back off.
  15. As part of the kit, the cardboard is also replaced. I have a general idea of where it goes now so I should be good. Got to take the seat back out so doing it later this week.
  16. Those panels are different. Maybe because mine is a 71. I'm not switching from crank window to power window. I had the panels recovered and they didn't mark the spot where the switch goes. But I'll see if I can use that opening as a reference to cut the hole for the switch. Thanks.
  17. Can someone provide me with the location on the rear quarter window panel (the panel below the rear window and above the rear ash tray) where the power window switch goes? I've got one picture but it is not of the entire quarter window panel so can't determine exact location.
  18. Thanks for the links to the manuals. I will check out these two bulb types to see which I prefer.
  19. M&H sent me a new connector to replace the clear connector that had the correct design to match the courtesy light harness. Popped the clear one off and stuck the new on. Problem solved. Next issue - what is the part number of the bulb that goes in this courtesy light harness from painless (I called them - they are closed today). It looks to be an 1156 style bulb, but shorter in height. https://www.painlessperformance.com/wc/30708
  20. Paul and MCFan, thanks for your help! I figured that is what Paul was suggesting but just wanted to confirm. I will try to not have to cut off any of the connectors and see what is available at the local Auto Zone. McFan thanks for posting the pictures.
  21. Thanks Paul but I still need to put two different wires on the BATT terminal of the fuse block. I can't do that if all I do is change the ends to be both crimp terminals. Maybe I'm missing something with your explanation.
  22. Got a bit of an issue wiring up the courtesy lights and the trunk release. Service manual says both of them go to "bat" - which I'd agree is where they should go. Should have power even when car is not running. But the connectors are not compatible. One has the lip on the left side and the other on the right side. The courtesy harness has a connector to bridge another power wire (you can kind of see that extra blue connector at the bottom of the picture). I'd have to shave off the lip on the connector on the right in order to allow it to plug in. See picture below.
  23. Jim, I bought one from Leo Konik but I had to get the defroster in order to get the grill. I don't think they are being remade at this time.
