  1. Thanks Rob , I may try to head up , this ones not been down a road since the mid 80's .... I would like to see some of your guys cars
  2. Thanks guys for all your help . Car needs restored . I've held on to it all these years in hopes to do the car. Went to run the numbers a month a go and found out all this about documenting SS's . I found this car in a barn 30 years ago so doubt very much it's any type of clone but not wanting to put the money in it to restore it if I can't document it just in case I ever sold it. We've been scratching our heads trying to figure this car out. This site is just great is all I can say. I'll let you guys know what I find
  3. is the number going to be the same as the vin ? What should I see if it's an ss tranny

    70 ss 454 help

Guys I have a 70 ss Monte, don't have the numbers matching motor or build sheet it's an US built car but I think it has the original turbo 400 in it . I was told possibly there may be numbers on the tranny that could identify it as an ss trans . I've had this car 30 years , has the load leveler susp, fact buckets and gauges , 1 1/8" front sway bar ... Has a 73 454 . Does anyone know how to identify the transmission ?
