  1. I just looked on Lutty's online and they show new front fenders for '71-'72. $789.00 ea. . From what they show might be something to think about if you're repairing old fenders, could be a wash for the price. I believe they are in lower Pennsylvania?
  2. Welcome to the MONTE madness!! Glad to hear that have become a member. Lots of Monte people here help you out with your questions. Welcome aboard my friend!pictures are appreciated also.๐Ÿ˜Š
  3. Napa, Dorman products was the choice back in the day. Lutty's might have them in stock.๐Ÿ˜Š
  4. Mow grass? Now? we have snow coming down. Besides it's going to be weeks until the ground is firm enough for the Ventrac Mower. 1,200 lbs of sheer terror !! I'll have to tip toe through with the push mower for awhile before I can let the big dog out on it !!
  5. Big Block, 4spd. Nice!! Bets on what it goes for?
  6. Welcome to the Club Curtis !! You'd be better off replacing all 4 door hinges. You'll like how nice and smooth they close together after you change them out. Had mine in since '05 and still working good. Doors are heavy. I've strapped them up and used a hoist to do mine.
  7. Just wanted to thank whoever got this back on the forum. I'm still in the " re- assembly" of mine. All gauges back in place and re-installing dash. I had to pull it on due to clock ,RPM gauge and new cluster assembly ( cracked and junk ). I'm still confused kon wire from the battery to horn relay. Mine is a '72 Monte Carlo with '70 dash parts. I'm old school and like the green dash more then the white.
  8. Cool, I'm looking at 1 right now.I knew that I wasn't wrong, just mistaken๐Ÿ˜Š
  9. As mentioned, I have been looking through the forum and I get really confused about how to change mine out from a SBC to a BBC shroud. I have my original SBC shroud. I believe I get a BBC Chevelle (???) Shroud , and use the piece that goes from the fan to the rad on my shroud? So confused right now. I'm going to work on something else now and hope I get a answer on this. I'm finishing up my Turbo400 trans install. Drive shaft length is next. This BBC upgrade has it's downfalls, but can't wait to hear it start up!!
  10. I was cruising through Lutty's parts warehouse and came across new front fenders for our Monte's? Anyone else see this?
  11. Leo is the man!! Always great to chat with about all 1st gen Monte's. Mine are still in and going on 17 yrs.
  12. Good catch there Jared!! I was thinking the same thing. I have to get a new front bumper for my Monte. The engine for my ( dare I say) '88 Fiero Formula, made a scratch in mine. Broke my wrist for it though, so now I'm thinking about shortening it up like they did in NASCAR back in the day. Thoughts?

Looking good Larry, me thinks you're doing a great job. Don't be breaking any knuckles, when we bleed, we bleed together๐Ÿ˜Š
  14. You've got 1 Nice Monte Carlo there sir !! Looks great, it's not going to last long with all the said documentation and being a 1 owner car. Mr. Boyte might be interested in a SS to accompany his other Monte Carlo?
  15. When changing filter, 3 quarts to start. Car level ( on the ground), in park, idling, let it warm up, pull dipstick, wipe then reinstall, pull back out and check level. This gets close to how much more needed. Try not to over fill. I do the half quart trick to see where the level goes from there. Easy Peasy๐Ÿ˜Š
  16. You should have seen me 2 weeks ago. To get clearance for a shock / strut I had a 4 ' pry bar ( MAC of course) and (2) 90 lb tractor weights hanging on the end of it. I was thinking about if someone came across me about 5 ' from the truck I was working on, What was he thinking๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  17. Yup, still remember you're black eye. What was that from again? I wondered if you saw dancing bananas !!
  18. I'd be waiting on Leo for his response. He has been doing this for quite some time now. I'm sure Jared has been looking at this also. Wasn't there someone looking for these not so long ago? They look pretty good from the pictures. Dennis, have you measured the thickness of them? I don't know if you have a set of micrometers to measure the gauge of the steel. I could do a 101 crash course under the tent at Carlisle if your interested. ๐Ÿ˜Š
  19. Thanks Joe. Going to be giving them a call.
  20. I'm thinking that this will be the last of Mother Nature turning on the snow for us here in upstate NY.Even though it was a less than eventful ( around here anyway), I just hope it gets better from here. Maybe moving motorcycles from my trailer to the garage will give me some hope.๐Ÿ˜Š
  21. That's what I'm ordering in the morning. I checked out leeds. Is that pump for the dodge ? The one they show in products? I was just going to re-use my canister style I've used for years. Not enough or old school?
  22. I've gotten the BBC into the car now. Now I cannot get my drivers side valve cover on because the brake booster is in the way. I have to run spacers under the cover(1/2") as to not hit the roller rocker arms (Comp.Cams Ultra roller tip rockers & poly locks). I see some of you have a 9" Diameter booster. What brand and /or where did you purchase it . I see InlineTube sells a 9" booster. I have already bought the disc/disc brake master cylinder I'm going to install next.
  23. Have you checked with Leo Konink ,Koninks Klassics ? He's in Michigan. Might be worth your time.๐Ÿ˜Š
  24. C.A.R.S. inc.was the place I got my fabric from. Had a local upholstery shop do the deal. Back in '06 the fabric was $95 /yd. Don't know what it goes for now. I still have a yd of it..... Somewhere๐Ÿ˜Š
  25. Had mine in since'07, still looking good. Seems that my 2017 Honda Civic Si are done for. Now I have to replace them. I wonder what they cost !! Going to the dealer tomorrow and see. I'll give you an update on them. As far as new ones for yours ,The Parts Place is good a place to get those from.
