  1. Hey Willie, Don't do anything just yet!! I think I bought a second engine harness for my 71 SS when I meant to get my light harness....thinking I have a spare.
  2. My 04A built Baltimore 71 SS has BF as well.
  3. Where did you find isolators? I haven't looked yet myself...but appreciate the lead! Thanks
  4. I've ordered and installed quite a few from Rockauto.com. They actually fit better than the originals I replaced, as they were each tweaked in some way shape or form. The vendor that did the shipping did a very poor job of packaging them however. the first 2 had ends that were pushed in (closing the horseshoe opening somewhat). I was told to keep the first one free of charge, and a replacement was sent. a little pry with a 2x4 in the right direction and it was as good as new. Their price with shipping was the best I'd found. I can't imagine more than one place is making them....with multiple places selling them under their own brand name.
  5. WOW!! what a beauty!! Do you have any info on the previous owners? build sheet? If so....Could a past owner have been "Rich G"? Reason I ask, a club member I met years ago from Tacoma described a similar Monte SS he owned when he lived out there. The same interior and exterior colors if memory serves me. He let it go at the time due to rust. He since relocated back east probably 10 years ago, with his 70 4 Speed 402 Monte. just wondering if by chance this could be his old car.
  6. Hi Doug, #49 Color is code 57 Golden Brown Interior and top are Covert
  7. Code 57 Golden Brown, I don't think its too far off of 1970 code 58 Autumn Gold. I have an odometer statement from the state of Delaware when the last owner purchased it in December of 2000 stating 39,000 then. The last owner certainly didn't put many more miles on it in his 19 years.
  8. Thanks Rob, that's encouraging news! I'll have to give it a try in that case. Did you find it on the passenger or driver side? I've never found one under the carpet before. Of the 6 first gens I have, this is the only one not to "cough up" a build sheet!! I did see paper between one of the clasps (not a hog ring) under the back seat. Perhaps someone beat me to it... The previous owner passed almost a year ago, so likely I'll never know.
  9. If I'm to go that far, I'd want to pull the front seat to really check thoroughly underneath, and to not cause damage to the carpet by not doing so. And, I really don't feel like pulling it apart!! It'd really be nice to find, I'd like to know from where it was originally sold. But, I've resolved to be satisfied without it. as, I have no doubts as to what's there.
  10. I've never found one there on a Baltimore car, but did not check this one.
  11. I pulled the back seat out today, no build sheet top or bottom.... Checked under the front seat the day I brought it home, nothing there either.
  12. I had to replace the master cylinder. With plans to restore/rebuild the original.
  13. Duly noted! mission accepted😄
  14. thanks guys! really enjoying it.
  15. Riding Darren's coat-tails with this post.😀 Brought home this 44K mile 72 2 weeks ago. Custom package 350 4 bbl, 12 bolt posi A/C, Power windows, Tach dash, bench seat, AM/FM stereo Early built - 5th week November 71, so no seat belt warning light in dash, and has the larger seatbelts. Drives like new, rides smoother than my restored cars...something to be said for rubber vs. urethane bushings I guess.
  16. Hi Rob, This is the blue on blue bench seat car with rear SS treatment? I still have photos from when he purchased it on e-bay. Curious what value the dealer placed on it. Would you PM me? It was a great looking car, with build sheet ( I still have photo of that too!) it had some pretty interesting options. I do recall "ballpark" what he paid on e-bay back then. It seemed like quite a bit back then, but would be a great buy today.
  17. The NOS bumper I have for my 71 SS has slotted holes from the factory to attach the Pad. no drilling was required!! So I would venture to say a different part number. Hi Fred, Have you decided to keep your 70?
  18. Great documentation Dan! I will be needing it the near future, and you've made this one much easier to accomplish!
  19. Looking for CN, keep your GM car all GM. Not finding this one from all the usual sources....even contacted Jim Osborne Reproductions, the maker of most of the under hood decals out there. He has a CN but it has a different part number under the CN, and from what I saw some of the wording is different ( his is for a 69 chevelle) Below is the one I need.
  20. thanks Rob, that would be great! there is a slim chance I will make it up there as a spectator.
