    Any Takers?

Aside from the ugliness, there is an interesting story behind them: The Custom Cloud Story (coindispenser.com)
  2. Hello everyone! Hope everyone is doing well... Has been a while since I posted here (2018). Back in 2015, I had to retire from the club president position to help my kids, who were struggling in school. Well, my son just graduated from High School and starts university with his first summer class in two weeks. My daughter still has one year to go in high school. Hope to have more time to come on here now... Still got the FULMNTE... Here is my son at the 2008 Eastern Meet:
  3. I installed this on my Monte's trunk lid: http://www.eddiemotorsports.com/product/chevelle-trunk-hinges/trunk-hinges-68-72-chevelle/ Of course, they defy your defintion of 'cheap'...

    Magnaflow?

My Flowmaster 40 Mufflers had a horrible drone at certain RPMs. I went to Magnaflow 14" mufflers and they are great! Not too loud, just right for my taste.... Then again, my Monte has electric cutouts if I really want it loud!
  5. If you actually need a speedo in a busy downtown area with these type of buildings you are going to fast!
  6. Yeah, I converted the Autometer Speedo in my Monte to GPS as well and it works great! Love it!
  7. I just bought a set of gauges for another project at www.speedhut.com They offer GPS speedometers, so no fooling around with Speedo Cables, gear ratios etc. And you can design your gauges yourself. Very competive pricing against Autometer! They frequently have a 20% off sale, so join their email list!
  8. Rubber should be fine for a cruiser like yours. Check https://www.performanceonline.com/ https://www.kanter.com/index.aspx I bought my kit from a comany called performancesuspension (not PST) but they are out of business...
  9. Rear 17x9.5 with 5.5 in BS 275/40/17 BFG Tires Front 17x8 with 4.5 in BS 235/45/17 BFG Tires There is a wealth of knowledge here: http://www.firstgenmc.com/forums/index.php?/topic/3188-wheel-and-tire-data-base/
  10. Form your own opinion: http://www.chevelles.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-674930.html http://www.pro-touring.com/archive/index.php/t-64589.html http://www.chevyhardcore.com/tech-stories/other-tech/counterfeit-automotive-parts-knock/ Not sure if I would buy anything using "bleeding-edge manufacturing processes"...
  11. Good advise here If I were to do it again I would take a good look at a truck arm suspension http://hotrodstohell.net/truckarm/truckarm_index.htm
  12. Ert, so the shaft does not look like this?
  13. Looks like the detent solenoid for the kickdown switch Might need a gasket
  14. Did you ask them how 'quick' the quick ratio is? Since this is a 1976 box casting, I would think it would be compatible with the non-metric power steering hoses.
  15. I went distributor less for a few hundred bucks. Works beautifully and I can program the ignition curve with a laptop http://www.autosportlabs.net/Megajolt_Lite_Jr.
  16. I think glasstek makes them as well
  17. Nothing It's just not an engine that I can go into Autozone and buy spare parts... I WILL keep the old Flathead 6, if I ever sell the Dodge the original engine will go with it....
  18. Well, my boy and I finally finished what started as an empty engine block... This one will go in our 51 Dodge Hot Rod together with a TH350... 2-Bolt Standard Bore, New Scat Crank, Vortec iron Heads, Edelbrock Intake & Carb, mild .427 lift cam Should have around 280 HP at the crank. We wanted to build a mild SBC replacing a Dodge Flathead 6 with 100 HP...
  19. Standard Bore, Vortec Cylinder Heads, mild .437 lift cam
  20. I had a stout 450 HP 383 stroker in the Monte before swapping to a 450 HP 454HO engine. This is true:
