Wishing the weather would get better
  4. I say to each is own, the wheels look good but I am a huge fan on the rally wheels. For me they are the best rim well the 8in wide ones are the better ones, although I don't have mine on yet. I still run the 7in ones. Car looks good for sure like I said even if they are not my choice.
  5. My choice would be Rally's but I have to say the IROC wheels look better than the centerlines( just my opinion)
  6. I have the Wheel Vintiques on my daily driver...I have not had any issues with them, This is my second set of these I had( had a set on my 91 Full size pick up) on that truck they eneded up replacing a wheel for me IT WAS OUT OF ROUND. When I had the tires put on had a vibration that they could not fix. I contacted vintiques the first set I had I bought directly through them so I only dealt with them. They said it is unusual but it can happen. They actually sent me a new wheel before I took the other one off had the tire installed no vibration. Other than that one issue their wheels have been good to me
  7. Took her out of hibernation, pulled the cover checked all the fluids air up her tires...started her up(right away she did I might add) and took her out for a nice cruise and went to lunch brought her home and detail sprayed and wiped down now she is resting in the garage for the next nice day....woohooo I missed my girl!!!!!!
  8. cudax, No he did not trim the wheel wells. Only reason I know is after he said it I looked. No cut metal..my only problem with his look is the fronts are 15x8's with the standard "vette rally" offset. So the fronts look like deep dish the rears look like a 7" rally.....But they do fit....
  9. I do know a guy running 295/50/15 on a 71 SS..he has a 15x8 rim with a 5 inch back space and I can fit my hand in between the tire and wheel well...he said stock srprings but of course they are newer
  10. I replaced my rear springs a couple years ago and what I found out( the springs from autozone do not have the moog name on the box but are made by moog and even has the same part number as moog) anyway This time around I replaced with the Cargo Coil CC501's brings it back to correct height with the added for putting the kids in the car or loading the trunk. Back in the 80's when I replaced I went with a rear spring from an Old's Vista Cruiser wagon and it gave about 1.5-2 inches of lift.
  11. My car has the edelbrock on it and it will be gone in the spring. I am going back to a q-jet as soon as I order the Cliff Ruggles rebuild kit. I have been reading his book on rebuilding it and it will be going on in the spring. I have always like q-jets and the more i drive with the edelbrock on it the more i dont like it...
