  2. Yes it is a California car, the plug in the picture is is on the firewall next to the distributor...... nice pics guys
  3. Here's another part/plug I need identified please..... A.C. maybe? It's not connected to anything so I want to take it out and get rid of all these wires that aren't going anyehere
  4. 420ponies, here's what I'm looking at with my steering wheel the last pic is how it was when I took it off, the first pic is a change I made to the position of the spring,i was try to think about what u said about it touching the plate and it seemed to give the button more resistance, but as u can see there no wires connected to the button..... I need help thanx
  5. Also I've rewired the whole car with the American auto wire kit for monte Carlo, so I pulled out most of the old engine wireing
  6. Bruce, no I don't know if it has the original engine in it, is there a way to identify it?
  7. Thanx guys! I appreciate all the info, I hope to keep my monte for a very long time so I need to learn it like the back of my hand.... And yes it has A.C. but it doesn't work, I suspect the blower is not working cause the heater won't blow either..... I will be posting more pics of parts to identify and learn about in the future. Thanx
  8. So do I need these parts? What does the idle solenoid do? Is it like an electric choke? And will not having the TCS switch hooked up effect performance? Thanx guys
  9. I took these off my 70'monte, they weren't connected to anything, what are they?
  10. That looks dope! I have a 70, it makes me wanna take my side market lights and rig them up in the grill some How, I was planning on taking them out anyway and Bondoing up the holes, I don't like the way they did the front and rear marker lights on the 70' sorry guys just my opinion
  11. I bought my 70 monte with a grant steering wheel on it, but the horn button doesn't work, however I know the horn blows fine because when I rewired the old ignitonion switch (I believe it was) I touch two wires and the horn went off just fine( super loud) how I get the button to work???
  12. Thanx everyone!!!! I love the club! You guys are awesome!
  13. Ok I got it started!!!!! I owe much to all you guys for the info, it turned out the my butterflys were stuck shut and that's why when I put the new starter in it wasn't gettin fuel or air, the new starter a.c. delco works great so far but it's only been one day lol, I'm just worried about the shims, I didn't use any but there no grinding, I just hope the placement between the bendix and fly wheel are correct
  14. Ok i got the new starter in, but when I turn the key, it's cranking the motor just fine like its about to start, but it won't turn completely over to start, I didn't use any of the shims but I dont hear any grinding, could that be the problem? What could it be?
  15. Mc1 thanx again, I don't care how the starter looks I just wanna make sure it fits, and.yes I brought the old starter with me for the core charge, they looked very similar except the holes where the bolts go, that's what had me the most worried, but your saying one in the front and one in the back well work the same as side by side bolts awesome, then I will try to install it..... thanx bro!
