Getting ready to put vinyl top back on. But whoever had it before evidently cut the studs off i ordered the screws and clips but I found by looking at the parts car that there are some clips with screws on them that go thru the body and have a nut on the other side. Do y'all know if other clips like those from a malabu would be the right size. I seen them on ebay and they look the same

Sorry I found some of this somewhere but can't find it again. Did the 1972 have two seams in the vinyl top. How far apart are they? I guess you line them up equal on each side. How far across are the studs from side to side. Just got my Monte to the upholstery shop. So happy, was getting tired of waiting.

Hi Y'all, haven't been on in a while been busy getting the 72 Monte back together. I have the chrome back around the windows but it doesn't seem to be snapping on very tight especially the two little corner pieces at the top of the door windows. Is there some way I can get them tighter (all of them) Should you glue them?

Is the entire trunk painted with the speckled paint? They recommend a clear coat over it, should I use that too? 1972

Does anyone have instructions on reinstalling the horn componants in the steering wheel? I have the original style parts. My husband needs pictures if possiable. (: Or some place i can get the info.

It was the ground, i did a quick ground and my speed ometore lite up. now once i get the sttrap connected i think they all will, on to the gas gauge and speed ometore

OMG, you are wonderful. I love this. I looked in the search but did not find this. Did you find it in the archives? Anyway THANK YOU SO MUCH. I have a new circuit boaurd on it. I think once i get the gound right the lights should work.

Thank you Mo that helps a lot. Now about the gas gauge, It is at 3:00 so I checked some of the threads and found that it is probably a ground wire. I got back under the car and sanded where the wire goes and sanded the wire connector screw it back in still nothing.

Where does the ground strap go? I have looked everywhere. I bolted another wire to it and ground it on the dash frame and still won't light the only thing working is the clock. Oh yeah, I looked for a answer and did not find it
