shane92g
How do you replaced the trunk lock bezel on the 71/72 as this does not look like a simple task...
Sam (Bones)
actually it is very easy get a flashlight and you'll see the nuts that secure from the back side
stangeba
Sam, It's been a few years but I just gently pried mine off. There are three (or four) inserts that fit into the trunk lid. They are like the inserts that are used on the sail panel Monte Carlo script. 71 built in Oshawa May of 71. No nuts on mine. Bruce

7tonemonte
From my memory it was barrel nuts like Bruce said. It's been a while since I put it on though. Basically pry gently with something (not a screwdriver) that won't scratch the deck lid.
shane92g
I can't see how to get at the lock fastners under the trunk lid. I only see one Philip screw hold a small some triangular metal piece however I think that's to hold the lock assembly in place.
shane92g
Is there a plate that needs to be remove
footballubet
For the bezel just pry it off. Barrel clips hold it in place. That triangle piece needs to be pulled down only if you are replacing the lock or latch.

Leghome
I use two putty knives. One to pry with and one to protect the paint.

Hmm, thank you I was wondering the best way to attack the prying step without scratching the paint
