I have added some registration info for the event in my post above. I noticed on the event web site that they have added the Monte Carlo class to their award categories at my request. They will have a 1st and 2nd class trophy for the class. I will be posting hotel info in the next couple weeks. We will likely be having a BBQ at my house a few blocks from the hotel on the Sunday afternoon for the FGMCC awards and door prizes.

EDIT: Due to the size of the group we are no longer doing a BBQ at me house. I will arrange to have the dinner at a local restaurant.

My Classic Car filmed two episodes in the Penticton area. One at the Peach City Beach Cruise and one touring Summerland's wine country.

(note some of the FGMCC cars at 2:11)

It started as a car in the fountain in the Lakeside Resort and they now do something different each year. One year it was hanging on the side of the Resort parkade.

The Okanagan Valley was voted as the 2nd best wine region to visit in the world. This might help sway some of your spouses who think this will just be a weekend of cars to attend the meet. smile

If there is anyone interested in arriving Wednesday instead of Thursday, I could arrange some activities for Thursday morning/afternoon. There is a classic car museum near the hotel and the club has not done the car museum in the past. We could also do a short scenic cruise and stop at a few points of interest (museum, beach, winery, viewpoint, etc). Let me know if you are interested.

We have added an extra day to the meet for those who wish to arrive on Wednesday night. On Thursday we will be doing some cruising around Summerland stopping at the car museum as well as other points of interest (beach, winery, viewpoints, etc). It will not be too much driving that day, just a relaxing day and should be fun. Coming earlier also allows more time for getting the cars ready and of course more socializing.

We have a good number of members confirmed to attend the meet coming from Nevada, California, Washington, Oregon, Alberta and BC. We may also get members from Montana, Idaho and Manitoba. If this keeps up, we could reach 20 members at this meet.

Not to detract from this Post Aaron.  Just thought I would let you know that I received a call a few days back from the Flashback event we attended in Bend, OR.  They were curious if we were going to attend the 2015 event.  I let them know we had already decided on a location for 2015 for our club event.  They said had we come, they were going to include a 1st Gen Monte Award.

Just a FYI if unaware.

Based on the list I've compiled, I'm fairly confident that we will have at least 20 members at this meet. We could even break the record we set in 2010 of 22 members!!
