Guest
Anybody found a source for interior door straps? I am changing the color of my interior to black and cannot locate a source for these. In lieu of that, anybody had experience dying these? What dye did you use? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Guest
When I changed my '72 Cutlass from brown to black interior, I had the door handle straps dyed by a trim shop. They've held up fine and look great. ------------------ 1968 442 W30 4-speed 1972 Hurst/Olds prototype replica 1972 Monte Carlo

The for sale board has someone selling lots of 71 parts. There may be some in his list. There is always Hemmings at any large book store. ------------------ Steve
Guest
I saw some repops at Pep Boys. I don't know how good they are I just glanced at them. They might get you by untill you find the real deal.
Ian
When I changed my interior to black, I used a paint from SEMS if I recall. I used it on all the soft parts, I.E. the dash, door panels, etc. It turned out great. I do not recommend using the bonding clear the sell to spray under it. I used it on some of the first few parts I sprayed, and it the black lifts off in places. The stuff I just put the paint on held up great. I will see if I can dig up a can of it if you want the part number.
