Guest
so, i got in my car after school today and put on my right turn signal and to my suprise they came on but failed to blink. I loked in the haynes manual but either i missed the part about turn siganls or it wasnt in there. So can anyone help me out, the light came on and stay on but dont blink--- all of the bulbs work and the weird part is that the hazard lights flash as usual. hope someine can help me out. jim's 70
If all of the bulbs are good, try a new flasher. There should be 2 of them, 1 for the hazards and one for the signals. i have seen them go bad and only one side dosen't work. Does not make sense to me but it has been known to happen. Guest
i one for the hazard is located on the fuse pannel, it is the silver canister thing(correct me if im wrong) but where is the turn signal flasher? Andrew
Guest
You may have a bad ground behind the dash?%?
Rob Peters
I could be wrong because it has been years since I changed a flasher in a First Gen Monte but if I am not mistaken, the turn signal flasher is located under the dash on the drivers side and someplace around the steering column. If I am not mistaken it looks similar to what you described. Rob ------------------ To access my website click on the picture or link below. wallaby
That makes it about as clear as mud. "unless I'm wrong, I'm never wrong". But to be honest Rob, I couldn't remember either. LOL
Guest
You probably have a bad bulb. They can come on and not flash and still be bad. It's a cheap fix and if it's not the bulb you can save it for when you do need one.
