overdrive
Who makes a good hood seal that fastens to the top of the cowl? After a day of adjusting and aligning everything in front of the firewall, I sat the hood seal in place and shut the hood. The seal raised the hood about 3/8" in the back. The seal is a new one I bought several years ago and it's a hard rubber that is just too stiff. Is the Soffseal one a good choice? Dan
72-CLASSIC_RIDE
Soffseal is generally my 1st choice and have relied on them for most of my needs when replacing rubber. I have had no complaints with their products. Doug
Rob Peters
Metro Moulded is excellent and what many here use. rob
overdrive
Thanks for the replies. All my other seals are Metro. If their hood seal has been used with good results, I'll try it. I don't know why someone would make one that is so hard that it changes the hood height. There's no need for a hard seal there. Dan
Rob Peters
That is the reason so many of our members use the Metro products. I installed my trunk seal last year and did not need to do any adjustments... It was a perfect fit. Just a note, Metro is a sponsor/donor of many door prizes for our Eastern and Wester Meets and we love to support our sponsors. rob
Jared Richey
I like metro as well, the soft rubber is nice. They also made the 70 L pieces that were made by no one
