monte70car
Do you all think I need the connector for the radiator? This is what the fitting looks like inside
GatorDog72
Which connector are you referring to? The port at the radiator should be an inverted flare type. I stripped the port out on my radiator and just bypassed the whole thing until I get it fixed.
Boots
I never could understand sending hot oil to a hot rad...I always thought the better cooling way would be a small external mounted trans cooler rad up front
overdrive
If it doesn't look this inside, you need an adapter. The radiator may only have a tapered pipe thread, not inverted flare. It looks like you may have bought the same radiator that I have. Mine had to have the adapters. Dan
monte70car
Dan it might be just pipe thread. I know when the trans line is screwed in there is no play so I was thinking it was good and with the nice weld job on the side tank figured it might have the fitting already welded in. I do have another set of connectors like what the trans needs but when it screwed in it bottom out which don't seem right.
