Wondering for those of you who have pulled the bodies off your monte to do a frame off resto and if so how did you do it without a full hoist and how could I do it for cheap. Cheers

Two chain hoist or a 4x4 or 6x6 with a grove cut in it to catch the pinch weld and a floor jack.

Footballubet did a great write-up on how he did his. I used 2 engine hoists, 1 front ( where fenders bolts too)  ,1 rear (bolted thru bumper bolt holes in trunk). and then concrete blocks and 4"x4" s.

I did it with a short loop of rope around a roof truss, a cable hoist, and another rope down to the front body mount bolt area on each side of the firewall. At the rear, I used an engine hoist with a rope through the bumper bolt holes, inside the trunk. It was very easy to set up and to raise plenty high enough to roll the frame out the side or the front. If you want to roll it out the back, switch the hoists around.
