sredmyer
I know (from reading other posts) the radio (AM/FM 8-track) is only held in by the stem nuts and an 'L' bracket on the rear of the radio. So the question is, can the radio be removed and replaced with out removing the dash? If so can someone explain how it would be done. Thanks
72-CLASSIC_RIDE
Once the connector is detached from rear of Radio, remove the screw holding "L" Bracket to Radio from Dash, remove Radio Knobs, remove outer nuts from Radio Shafts and remove the inner nuts. Slide Radio back toward Firewall while manipulating it to clear obstructions until it is cleared from behind Dash to drop. You can leave "L" Bracket attached to Radio. Your biggest issue will be clearance and just needs manipulated to fall out. Doug
1970mcss
I took out the left lower vent and hose to give myself more room. It's a tight fit
