bettare
Quick question ,does the back windows on a 71 have springs on the door cranks?
Rob Peters
I hate Trick Questions. You must be talking about a Chevelle because we all know Monte'so didn't have door handles. Just kidding Guy, if I am not mistaken, all of the Window cranks, front and rear, had the panel springs. That said...... was the spring used with the electric window buttons????...again just kidding, we all know the answer to that. rob
bettare
Thanks for the info on the rear window crank spring. When adjusting the window I noticed they were missing in the rear. Probably when I had the monte restored several years ago they did not replace them.
Rob Peters
Guy, I am trying to remember the proper placement of that spring.  I can't remember if it goes between the door panel and the plastic protector plate or between the plastic proctor plate and the crank.  I do know part of it's job is to protect the door panel  from the spinning of the window crank against the door panel. rob
