Does anyone know the part number for the pilot bushing that goes into the back of the crankshaft (SBC) for a Muncie M21 Manual 4-speed? I am looking for it on Rock Auto and I don't know the dimensions of the bushing and there are several to choose from.

Thanks!!

Mike

The Chevrolet parts catalog shows the pilot bearing PN# 3752487, 19/32 ID x 19/32 OD x 3/4"

Hmmmm ... that must be a very thin bearing with identical ID and OD dimensions!

I got this off of a Corvette forum. Someone tell me if I am wrong. There are two types of bronze bushings. Bronze only and bronze with steel alloy. The bronze one you can lubricate while the alloy one is oil impregnated. You can tell which one you have with a magnet. Forum stated do not lube the oil impregnated one it may cause bushing to seize to input shaft.
