Yesterday morning I was out in the wood shop and started feeling a tightness in the center of my chest. Then the cold sweats. Sealed up the open varnish can and went in the house and sat down. Told Glendia we need to head to the ER. After spending 5 hours they transported me to the St. Vincent's heart center in Carmel IN. Tomorrow morning a heartcath is scheduled and they will take a look see and see if I am worth saving. LOL LOL. My enzymes are high but the electro cardiogram shows nothing so they do think anything serious is wrong but some kind of a very minor cardio events has taken place. No pain or any discomfort now but these are the most uncomfortable chairs and beds I have ever had the pleasure of sitting in or laying on.

Larry,

Those beds and chairs are the best ever!  Wait to you get the bill.  They wouldn't charge so much if the beds are thin and lumpy.  I hope the test went well.  Let us know.

Well a stent was inserted on the arterry that feeds the front of the heart. 90 percent blocked. The artery that they found on my heart scan 4 yrs ago that was blocked about 50 percent was not any worse so they left it alone. That artery is like a cork screw so that was why they left it alone. It was going too be to difficult to fix at this time. I do feel better and will get to. Go home today and back to work tomorrow.

I’m sorry to hear this, but glad you recognized something was wrong and did something about it. I’m glad they found the blockage stented it and got you up and running again. Feel better Larry.

Sure feels good to be back home. Off work till next Tues no heavy lifting under 10 lbs and no driving until tomorrow afternoon. Feeling really good and now have to walk four times a day for 5 to 7 minutes, Then up it to 10 minutes 3 times a day, then 15 minutes twice a day and finally 30 minutes a day at one time. Need to get back to doing the 3 to 3 1/2 miles three times a week I did 6 or 7 years ago. That might happen as soon I get my new SS Advanced plus card so I can use my silver sneakers option.

I am sure she is glad I am home then she does not have to drive in the heavy traffic around the north side of INDY. I am unsure if there are any other reasons

Glad your diagnosis was treatable Larry.  I had a similar episode about 8 years ago & received a Stent and 4 Meds I am required to take from that point forward.  I need to get out and walk more  :coffee2:

Yes Doug they told me I needed to walk at least 30 minutes a day at a fairly brisk pace but to work up to that slowly so as not to stress out the ole ticker anymore.

I have been walking 4-5 miles a day for a little over 4 years Larry, I dropped about 40lbs and I feel great. Nothing better than going for a walk with my dog. It's therapeutic and clears the mind. Glad everything is ok.

Nothing special about this Monte. No SS, no rare options just a super sweet car to drive and take me back to the good old days!
