Anybody got recommendations on someone who rebuilds them? In Cleveland Ohio would be perfect! Thanks

In 1993 I sent my 71 Quadrajet to "The Carburetor Shop" in Ontario, Ca. 909-947-7744.

My primary shaft bushings were worn, causing my idle to change each time I let up on the throttle.

They re-bushed the primaries, rebuilt it and re-plated it for $186.91.

Don't know if they still are around or what the price would be now.

7041200 quadrajets decode to 1971 big block with auto transmission.

My late Uncle's 1971 Monte Carlo SS...

1 of 1919 produced, 1 of 147 produced
in Canada, 1 of 6 black on black produced
in Canada and 1 of 2 black on black with
buckets and console produced in Canada.

Lost in 1978 and Found in 2011.
The sorrow of what was once lost,
Is surpassed by the joy of it found.
What fuels us to persist in the search,
Are the memories that we hold dear.

I miss you Ron.

Thanks all! Turned out to be the brand new Carter fuel pump from RockAuto. Returned it and they quickly sent a warranty replacement. She's up and running again!
