Dash cluster module color

I pulled the dash out of my 72 Thanksgiving. The module I took out is green. Is this green one for a 70 Monte? I have always wondered why my dash lights had a green cast to them and me thinks this is the culprit. I am thinking also about going Dakota Digital andmy son in-law is working on me to get a LS1 and a newer tranny to complete the job. LOL  So this may turn into another major redo. Glendia is going to shoot me and Jamey.

That does not sound right. The tint of the numbers has to do with the color they are already. The bulbs are not colored, they are clear. What year is your car? Is the cluster original to the car. Please post a picture of the cluster.

My guess is Larry has green tinted bulbs. Didn't you just have that 350 rebuilt with a modest cam? I think at some point I will be doing an LS engine myself. The BB is just out of my reach. Anything rebuilt and a long block costs a fortune.

No the bulbs are clear the dash just appears to have a green cast when the lights are on. The housing that all of the gauges are mounted is GREEN and I think that is where the  green cast is coming from. I have looked at several other gauge modules online and all of the 71/72 modules look like gray plastic or something other than green.

Yes Glen I did have the 350 bored 20 over and a mild roller cam and roller lifters installed. We drive the car everywhere and looking to get better millage and performance overall. I am happy with the 350+ but I just love to spend money when I have it   :yay:  :yay:
