1970mcss
I got my manifold reinstalled and have a question about the studs that are used. I figured out on the right side of the engine the stud is used to hold the Tcs solenoid. On my car I have 2 studs on the left side. In the rear the stud holds the brake vacuum line. There is a stud in the third hole (from the front of the enginge) that holds the air conditioning compressor. Can someone tell me what mounts to that stud or should that just be flange bolt. 1970mcss
I looked at the assembly manual and figured out that the stud is in the wrong place. My next question is, does the alternator bracket on the top connect to the engine with a stud and nut?? Mine was mounted with a bolt. I believe that is where I need the stud. Can anyone confirm that???
Leghome
My 72 has a stud on top of the intake for the alternator to mount to.
1970mcss
Thanks for confirming, It makes sense that a stud would be used and not a flange bolt....
