MikeParker
Thanks for the add to the club. I have a 1970 that I'm replacing the TH350 with a rebuilt 2004R out of a 1987 Grand National. My plan is also to go with 3:73 rear gears and a limited slip carrier My question is are there any recommendations for the horseshoe shifter and cable? This car is also going thru a bench to buckets conversion (I have an open thread in the Interior forum). I have a console I want to install, but with the overdrive, I need some advice on shifter and cable that will work with the console.
Leghome
I have a 700r4 in my 72 Monte and it has the stock floor shift with a shift works conversion kit. I also went with a Bowtie Overdrive TVS cable and linkage kit. Everything works well but I do need to adjust the cable buy have not taken the time to do so
MikeParker
Thanks Leghome for the rely -- I see you're not too far from where I was born and raised (Kokomo) . If you have any links to the products mentioned above, please provide.

Leghome
Here is a link to the Bowtie Overdrive web site. http://bowtieoverdrives.com/ just need to look around and find your carb on one part. I have an Eldebrock 1406 on my 72. this link is also useful http://www.tvmadeez.com/ Link to shiftworks.com http://shiftworks.com/kits.htm If I remember correctly you can contact them and give them your tire size/height and gears you are running and they can hook you up with the correct gears for the speedo cable. MikeParker
I ordered the shifter and conversion kit from ShiftWorks today -- and I also ordered the TV cable from bowtie overdrives -- both should arrive early next week. Thanks for the help, it was much appreciated!
Jared Richey
No need to change the shifter or the cable all you need is a 700R4 bracket conversion kit.
