monte0 Posted August 27, 2007 Share Posted August 27, 2007 I sure a few of you guys have ran into the issue with our hoods not staying up when opened. Well I replaced the hinges (since the car was apart) with a tighter set of hinges that were better then my original. well it still will not stay up by it' self even with the new hood springs installed. I went through two sets of new repo springs and a set of repo hinges and could not get anything to work. Ended up using a old set that I found. Maybe someone else has had better luck. monte0 Posted August 28, 2007 Author Share Posted August 28, 2007 Well both sets of hinges are originals. My set of the car had the springs replaced and made no difference.
