Trying to determine what I'll need to convert from the standard Monte steering wheel to the 4-spoke sport wheel (NK4)? Found a really nice wheel without any parts.

Hi. If you have the wheel and horn related parts on the steering wheel itself all you would need is the correct horn wire/contact. EZ pz. Lol

I ordered all the stuff from Classic Industries (same as a Camaro wheel). Available from most places though. Parts I ordered were:

Horn Cap Mounting set (makes the horn work) - K137

Horn Cap Retainer (plastic part that goes inside cover & snaps into the metal horn ring) - 329738

Horn Cap (bowtie emblem slips into the center, this may have come from OPGI because I forgot it with the Classic Ind. order) - 459003

Horn Cap Emblem (just a Chevy Bowtie)- 3992304

Those parts for the horn contact are included in the K137 kit.

The small white piece in the kit in a post above is incorrect for a 1971. That piece would be correct for a standard 1970 steering wheel. 1971 used a different cancelling cam than a 1970. A 1971 has a notch in the cancelling cam for a tab on the small black piece in my picture to lock into. 1970 just used compression to hold the piece in. The 1970 piece is shaped different than for a 1971 and up.
