Western Meet Awards

Shadow Gray SS

Recommended Posts

Longest Distance went to Pat & Jean with 559 miles. They beat Deb

and I by 23 miles.

Best Stock went to Art & Rena

Best Sounding went to Jake(me) & Deb (& Cecilia grin )

P8080605.jpg

Best Interior and Best Non-restored went to Keith & Rosa

Hard Luck, Best Paint, Best Engine, George Lines Best Modified,

and Member's Choice were earned by Vaughn & Kathie & Liam (he's 12 btw).

The Hard Luck was awarded because their battery somehow

developed a hole and leaked all of the electrolyte onto the

battery tray and frame of the car as well as had no CCA to

start the car.

As the stand-in director I chose Roy & Sue's '72 402 as

Director's Choice. I really liked the color combination and

the documentation of the restoration was extensive. Good Job!!

all of you and I anxiously look forward to seeing everyone

again.

Jake;

Could you identify those members in the group photo at the WM??

Just like to put a face with a name. Looks like you had a great time. Great pictures and thanks for posting them.

Thanks Jake;

Great pictures. So glad everyone had a great time. 2010 will be on my schedule without fail. Checked it out and it's only 171 miles to The Dalles. I'd better make it.

Our thoughts and prayers are sent your way.

Jared...

To answer your question...

8 Monte Carlo's at the meet...

4 1970's

1 Cranberry Red (Art)

1 White (me - Rodney)

2 SS454's

Shadow Gray (Jake)

Black (Vaughn)

4 1972's

1 White (Dan)

1 Medium Green (Pat)

1 Brown (Roy)

1 Lighter Green (Keith)

My apologies to some of these guys...as it is hard to describe some of the colors...especially the greens.

I was really hoping that Vaughn would have brought his awesome 71SS454, but he brought his 70 instead! As it turned out, no 71 cars were there.

9 FGMCC members at the meet...David Mau was at the meet, but was not able to bring his 70 SS454.

So...

8 cars

9 members

Somebody please chime in if I am incorrect in any way.

Does anybody have the totals from the Eastern meet? I saw several pictures...and it looks like they had at least 15+ cars?

I believe we had nearly 30 cars at the eastern meet - I missed a few in my photos & a few folks only stopped in at the Dragway portion of the meet.

Thanks for sharing all those pictures, Jake! And thank you again for the work you and Deb put into the meet - and for taking me along!

Wow, Lloyd... 3,540 miles round trip. That must have been a blast! I'm glad you were able to swing by the meet to say "hi" on Saturday and that you made it home again safely.

smile

Dave
