Paul Bell
I found this poor video on youtube. Most of it is engineering gak but after the first minute it shows a FGMC on the line and the marriage.

wallaby
That was cool. You have to also watch parts 2 & 3. It's hard to believe all the work that goes into it all! Fun fact I learned: at the time, GM used 23 Billion gallons of paint per year!
Jared Richey
Thats awesome. Cool it was a FGMC in the video. You see the seats being made, the vinyl top going on, and more.

Phil
Great video, air bags being examined and a mini-skirt, win-win! Thanks!
Chevyss
Thanks for sharing. Very cool video. I bought one that National Geographics makes about the Ultimate Factories/Camaro and it's amazing how they build those cars. A factory over 800,000 sq feet of assembly plant in one place. Paul Bell
I finally had time to watch the other three videos. Very cool seeing the sheet metal assembly ond shots of cars. Mostly Monte Carlos, some Chevelles and one shot of a Nova. I'd love to visit a plant one day. If there are any left in the US, that is... Rob Peters
Paul, thanks so much for sharing that video. The Monte body that came down out of the ceiling is the same color as my origional Monte.... Any time I see an assembly line picture of a 70 Monte I wonder if it could possibly be either my origional or current Monte....... Never really seen any assembly line photo's of 2-Tone painted cars so I don't think any of them are my current one. But again Paul, Thanks for sharing that, it was great. Rob Peters
I was cleaning out some old dead posts and came across this one from 2010 and thought it should be re-shared. rob
