ejw71
Charlie72, Looks like the TH350 output shaft has a 26 spline and 700R4 has a 27 spline. Did you use a TH400 driveshaft yoke to mate with 700R4 tailshaft spline? And it looks like the TH350 driveshaft u-joints have 1" caps and the TH400 driveshaft u-joint have 1 1/16" caps. So, if correct, front portion of a TH400 diveshaft will have to be welded on to front of a shorten (approx. 2")TH350 driveshaft. Grease
the 350 and 700 have the same splines on the tailshaft. you are correct about u-joint sizes. what trans are you changing from /to ? as i recall 350...400...700 all different lengths . as for the u-joint they do make a U-Joint which has 2 different size caps for just these situations.they cost a bit more . Charlie72
If you are using the driveshaft from a TH-350 it will work. Not sure on the difference from 27 to 26 splines. It should fit just fine. The only thing I know that you have to do is shorten the driveshaft. I did not change u joint sizes or anything. just had a machine shop shorten and balance my driveshaft.
