It may just be me, but it is more the seller than the car in cases
like this. It just seems honesty would result in more interest from
those that truly appreciate the Monte.

..and it would also give more confidence that he knew what he was talking about...

Not a bad car, the money seems ok too. But badges do not make a clone

Does this meen that my ZO6 Corvette clone is not valid? I'm hoping that the ZO6 badge will help with the handleing.

It's a good looking car, but I'd call it more of a "phantom" than a "clone". To be a clone, the original item that the item in question is said to be a clone of has to have existed in the first place! And even then, to be a true clone, it needs to be exactly as the original. People use the word "clone" far too loosely these days, as well as the term "original". "Stock" is a much more accurate word to describe most of the cars out there that claim to be "original".

A 1972 Monte Carlo SS454 LS6 4-speed convertible with Cowl Induction, 3-spoke Cushion Rim Steering Wheel, and fiber optic Light Monitoring System would be quite the "phantom" vehicle, and a pretty cool one at that, but certainly not a "clone".

Dave, My next door neighbors lawn guy has an uncle who's barber plays poker with a guy who owns one of those. It's completely original and documented with build sheet, window sticker, P-O-P and a 1972 assembly line worker in the trunk to verify it's authenticity. It's black with a white top and a white interior. Or so i heard

I heard he also has an 1983 Corvette clone for sale. Doh!
