I put on a new power steering box yesterday, and when I went to disconnect the pitman arm from the center linkage there were parts of a bushing or felt washer. Everyone I contact gives me a different answer for what is needed there. So far I was told inbetween the pitman and the center linkage there is nothing (metal on metal), rubber bushing, felt washer, dust shield (like on a tie rod end). Does anyone know what really goes between these parts?

There is a rubber dust boot between the centerlink and the pitman arm...
