Our Pro-Touring rear sway bar relocates the sway bar from the lower control arms to the rear axle, which improves handling by allowing the suspension to freely articulate. The sway bar is made from 1-1/8” diameter alloy tubing to reduce weight and incorporates 3 holes to adjust roll stiffness so that the suspension can be tuned to match your suspension upgrades and/or track conditions. The sway bar is connected to the frame with adjustable end links that accommodate stock or lowered ride heights and incorporate hourglass bushings to allow 5X more articulation than a straight cut bushing. The end links are connected to the frame with our integral clevis/tailpipe hanger (pat pending) that allows factory exhaust hangers to be used with the kit. The kit includes polyurethane bushings and all hardware required for installation.

This kit has been very well received in the marketplace and I can personally say it works as I did the development on my own 64 and 68 Chevelles. I had our factory style 1" bar installed previous to developing this kit and the ride and handling the new bar offers is a huge improvement over the factory style bar. When you take out the bind in the lower control arms, the vehicle is more compliant and ride quality and handling both improve.

that did get discussed the other day on the TC forum. It's really a small version of a anti rollbar, same concept. It attaches to the frame rather than the LCA's. Some feel it can be a little harsh on a street car but it just depends on what you want (not as bad as a anti rollbar though). They are working with a TC member on a custom anti rollbar version but as of yet have no plans to market it...Dave

Coincidently, I just got my new PST catalog and they now offer this as a new product.

If this attaches to the frame rather than the LCAs allowing the suspension to freely articulate, does that mean that you can run these with standard (non-boxed) LCAs?

Yep. The ends of sway bar will attach to frame crossmember rather than lower control arms. However, Boxed arms with poly will also add to better handling and should not be overlooked.

Good to know, I'm looking into boxed lower control arms options.

Thanks Dan
