With the ignition on, I don't have any voltage at the detent switch. The wiring diagrams in the shop manual do not show the wiring for this circuit. Does anyone know where the power is fed from?

At least it’s not a battery vehicle, not yet anyway.

On my car it used the same screws front and back, but the rear markers used nylon nuts similar to the tail light bezels. I believe they were a different size than anything that I had from the front or rear light hardware kits, I can see if I still have the package this weekend. I just measured the holes and did some measuring at Napa until I found the right one.

I have a "bushing" made, so maybe I can still use this piece on the drivers side until I can find a replacement. I can buy "passenger side" all day long but not the driver's side ? What gives ? Doesn't matter to me if the emission holes ,I can get plugs for those, grind and look just fine.

You can weld them with nickel rod, but you need to take steps to prevent cracking (preheat, etc).

Mark they are starting early this year!!! However she looks Great!!!

Dennis i was just going to say that!!! I don't think its weld i think its brazed, but you can have it done. expensive but if you want date/numbers matching worth it!! Jim sorry to hear of this. I know i have one but it has the emission tubes, probably not for your car.

I'm still looking into the side marker ones, so don't order anything just yet. The tail light numbers are good though. It says this number below is for the rear side markers, but I'm trying to confirm it with the assembly manual: https://www.amkproducts.com/search-result/?ser=g-4228 EDIT: For the front markers, your assembly manual will be page 12C-3, items 2 & 3. Those numbers look good for the G-4201 kit. I don't believe them in regards to the rear, I think just using the same type screws as the front markers will work fine (B-12152) So, I'd either order 2 of the G-4201 ($3.50 each), or get some bulk kits, with all the fasteners, and some left over. Thank you Joe! I went through my AMK kit and didn't see those items. It seems that I must have lost one item and ended up needing a few others that were not included in my kit.

Hey guys I'm not having any luck finding the J nuts and screws for the side markers. Also I can't seem to locate the mounting hardware for the tail lamp lenses and bezels. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Kevin. A couple days ago I was cruising around Facebook and seen your pictures. It didn’t take you long to tear in to it. Looks like a pretty nice car to rebuild or restore. You have started the process of getting involved with, in my opinion, the best Monte group. A great bunch of Monte heads here. You have questions, we are all here to help. New guy here. Picked up this 1970 a few months ago and just now starting to dig into it. Making rusty parts look new again, story of my life. Getting this project going, starting at the front and working my way back. I Ordered the American Autowire complete harness kit to avoid any headaches with this chopped up original . Lets see how it goes. Lost of rust to fix in the near future.
