  1. Chassis is pretty much done and engine running great. So put that in storage and brought the body home. Now to finish up the body work then mock it up on the chassis then send it out for paint. Gotta get this project back up and running

  2. If you're really concerned about rust, I'd spray the paint as normal & just spray a little cavity wax or some rust preventative like that on the nut plate for protection after the paint cured. Realistically though, that plate looks pretty good for nearly 50 years old. If it was going to be a rusty mess, it would have happened by now.

  5. Just like Imr stated, over spray or paint it. It doesn't get seen after the car is assembled. No one but you would know if it's painted or not.

  6. they at best had over spray from the factory. you could spray and readjust and spray again
