  1. Hi all: After 48 years with my 71 SS I sold it. It went to a nice home and will be well cared for. Hopefully the new owner will join this site and report the progress of things he is doing to bring the Monte back to its original glory. I'm getting up in years and when my wife passed away this year the interest in the car was no longer there. It needed some tender loving care which I no longer could provide. I will miss the car but the good news it sold to a family that lives here in town. I have not been here in a while looks like things have changed on the site. I may visit once in a while. As my sign off is always Later RJD

  2. If he would write down what he adds and how much there should be no problem but the amounts added need to be exact.

  3. Jared, I hope you were able to clean up the underside of the body and paint it. It would be a shame to put it back on what looks like a recently painted frame.... Plus get rid of that rust on the A-arm. rob

  4. We have a gal at our Axalta distributor that can tint it to match just about any color. She is amazing and always keep track of what is added so if you need more they can still get a perfect match.

  5. All, I know it won't look like I did much , but finally got the top trimmed and done .. took a bit to be cautious, and cleaning the trim and finding the emblems holes .. but the top I think is buttoned up, just need to clean off a little more glue where it got away from me .. whoops .... I will say the longer it sits there I think it looks better as it starts to relax, and not even out in the sun or heat, ( not that we have any in Upstate NY this time of year ) here are a few more pics... as always thanks for looking. Very similar to the pic the other day but you will notice this pic has the Monte Carlo roof emblem installed.

  6. Just trying to get the roof buttoned up , pretty tedious cleaning the trim removing the brown paint shining it up some and trimming the vinyl top without making a mistake and ruining the whole thing. Leaving the trim all chrome for now not doing the color back on it. Here are a couple pics of progress.
