  3. Something to think about. My 1971 Monte Carlo is now 49 years old. So, looking back at a 49 year old Chevrolet today, it would have been built in 1971. In 1971, If I would have looked back to view a 49 year old Chevrolet, it would be from 1922.

  4. Seems pretty weird doesn't it? How the technology changes over time and how fast time passes. My first car just turned "84" years old a few weeks ago. I'm guessing it will outlive me sooner or later. I always like to look at a car and try to imagine what was going on at the time the car was sold and what the buyer was thinking when they purchased it. In 1971, we just survived the 60's: Woodstock, British Invasion, Hippies, drugs, still involve in Vietnam, etc. In 1936, we finished WWI, still in the depression, car companies going out of business, few jobs, war in Europe, soon into WWII, etc.

  6. Our club caravan to honor health care workers was a huge success and was covered by the local TV station and Print News. I don't have a link for the TV News bit I do have a shot from the newspaper. rob

  9. Nice work, it's a shame that it's tucked up under the rear of the car and nobody gets to see it.

  16. So the new frost plug is in the flexplate and trans are in (man I miss my lift). All is now good there. It’s on to all the electrical issues and now most of that is good. Still trying to get all the dash lights to work but I needed to do something to prove to myself that I actually accomplished something so I had the rally’s blasted and powder coated and put a set of bfg’s on(the visual things help motivation)sometimes it’s just the little things. All this works just to tear it back down seems senseless but for me it works

  17. I found it on Facebook and it was in Champaign. He was the third owner but was best friends with the second owner who knew the original owner really well. Kinda makes me feel like an outcast. The guy that I bought it from is really into muscle car and normally doesn’t sell his cars but he started the body work 10+ years ago and finally figured out recently that he had to many other projects to do and he wasn’t going to finish it. So he posted it. Sorry for the long story to a question that needed a one word answer. I get carried away sometimes
