  1. The oil pan front gasket was thick or thin depending on the oil pan and timing cover configuration not sure what are cars are though. Exhaust pipe packing is just their term for donut gasket

  2. Are you spraying over basecoat or existing clear coat? If basecoat, what manufacturer was it, and maybe consider staying with the same brand. Like Larry said, I've always been partial to DuPont/Axalta products, but have used others with good results.

  3. I use nothing but CromaBase G2-7779S. Formerly Dupont now Xalta. Good product and real good reliability. Had my car redone in 2013 and it still looks like new.

  5. Don't you hate when work gets in the way of car time? I don't have to worry about that anymore I retired a little over a year ago and I love it. Been doing a lot of cleaning out junk in the garage to make more room for working on car stuff.

  6. It’s amazing how little I get done now that I’m back to work. A little progress today. I got all the control arm bushings pressed in,front and rear and all of them loosely attached to frame. And got the rear end blasted and painted. I ordered a bunch more parts that have nothing to do with what I’m working on but o well. Need them nonetheless. O ya coil springs were in the order so I did get something I need coming. Next up new carrier for rear end. SS shoulda had Posi

  7. Doesn't matter on the tire manufacturer. All basically the same dimensions for the same size tires. The 5 inch backspacing is your issue. Even with a 275 you will most likely rub bad on the quarter panels. My son has a 275/60r15 on a 15x10 rim with 5 1/2" backspacing.

  8. I currently get about 19 mpg on the highway with the current setup. All stock 300 hp 350 with 4-barrel AND still running points in the distributor!
