Took the Monte and Model A to a show today at our granddaughters high school. we came home with "Most Original" award..... Guess which car won this award......nope, NOT the Monte.

Like Joe said, use whatever the rebuilder suggests. The guy that did mine suggested Amalie so that what I use.

I'd ask the guys who rebuilt the transmission. If there's any problems, the blame won't be put on you for "using the wrong fluid". Let them tell you, and then there won't be any confusion as far as warranty issues (at least as far as that's concerned).

Just wanted to say a BBBBBIIIIIIIGGGGGG Thank you to Kevin, Tom and Toms son Tom (he is too big to be a little Tom) for there great hospitality. We had a nice couple of days at the swap meet at Englishtown. The weather was not a total 10 but was do able. But the company and the hospitality was top of the line!!! Also for introducing me to their friends, what a fantastic group of guys. You would think they should be Monte guys but there favorites are the other 2 car companies. I personally will not hold that against them though. I cant believe they had so much stuff in that trailer (the pic above was before they really loaded it. lol) It was like when how many people can you fit in a VW as God knows 30 people walk out. And yet they sold most of it. They also reminded me of them (Kevin and Tom) being the Mayors of the track, they knew everyone. Talking to people as they were walking down the aisle. There was a time that that Tom had to cup his hands and shout a women's name as so she could hear him and turn around and realized Tom was a friend from the past. Great to see and reminded me of years past!!! So Thanks Again to you guys i really appreciate you letting me in the group!!!

Looks like the rebuilders are as confused as the oe manufacturers. 24 different kinds of transmission fluids. Come on really???

The guy that rebuilt mine said use dex6.

Thank you Willie for supplies of soda and doughnuts!!! Had a great time ,wish the weather was better but that is always part of the experience lol. I had a TH400 w/ a 3,200 stall built a few years ago to go behind my 820 hp 555 bbc in my mud truck. My trans guy recommended TCI Max Shift. I’d have to double check, but I think it was the synthetic.

I just had my Map light rear view mirror restored and I'm very happy with the job he did, It was in sad shape when i sent it to him

O K. After studying the wiring diagram supplied by Paul Bell ( ThankYou !) I found that the cause of my above described problem ( A/C compressor coming on in the heat position) was caused by the micro switch being loose in the back of the selector panel. The switch that has all the vacuum lines coming out of it also has an eccentric on it's backside that hits a micro switch with two terminals and tree wires coming out of it . The switch is slotted for an adjustment with a very small hold down screw that also holds it in place. I cleaned and greased all moving parts and put a serrated washer on the hold down as well. Checked it with a test light and SUPER DUPER works the way it is supposed to . Thank you Paul Bell for your help. Also , I hope this info will help someone else. Thank you all once again.
