I still have a few of those as well, and clamp on ammeters too. Some day when I get out of this Lazy-boy chair, maybe I'll ebay them...3 points

Could possibly be a starter going bad, heat soaked. But, I'd check the free stuff like grounds, cables, tighten starter mounting bolts, etc., first though. If you could whack the starter with a small hammer when it happens, that may help narrow it down.2 points

I agree with Joe. Don't think they are for our cars. But thanks for posting Jeff, we are always looking for the real ones!!!2 points

Monte mirrors would mount with a stamped steel plate on the door itself, then the mirror would hook on & be secured with a single machine type screw from the back side of the pedestal mount. The ones in the ad have the studs attached to the pedestal and would be different. Doesn't appear to have the passenger side plastic pad/mount either, which is sometimes difficult to find, I seem to recall.2 points

Different parts, yes, but the etching will be the same on all the windows. On the inside, views from outside. The side window was just easier to photograph.2 points

So far it is just my old bumper from my 70 Monte. I had to make some brackets to get it mounted on the wall and added some lighting. I plan to add taillight housings and have the taillights work too. I will need to come up with something for the backup lenses. Some frosted clear plastic will do I just need to find the right container I can cut up.1 point

Like Joe said, start with grounds. Add some also. Engine to frame, engine to firewall, firewall to frame. I call it the tri-fecta.1 point

Back in the day in Fl they had a Wed nite T&T just for race cars, the Fri nite T&T had 3 to 4 lanes of street car and you'd be lucky to get 4 passes in on a nite. When I started at the track in Va, the track was hot at 5pm and street cars could get 3 or 4 passes back to back while everyone else was pulling in with their trailers and such. Ive made 18 passes in a nite. But this year, I'm guessing noise complaints and such we lost an hour of run time so maybe 4 or 5 in a nite. Ive had a Sat nite race called after the 4th round because of time and on a Sun race you weren't allowed to start any race cars before noon.1 point

Wow! Cool! So mine must have been a factory error, etched backwards or something. The rear glass definitely only goes one way, I tried putting it both ways and there's about an inch gap on either side when it's in wrong. When the glass is in correctly, with the concave part going inwards, the etch is backwards on the outside of the car!1 point

I do believe Tom is right on with this. I had a 750 Holley on my BB chevelle. A friend of mine didn’t like it so he bought an Edelbrock and put it on. It’s still on it because I don’t drive it anyway but it definitely sucked the life out of that engine. I still have the Holley to put on it if I ever need to.1 point
