  2. Got my 15 year member badge today, it's very nice but now I have to remove the radiator cover to put it on. I'll just put it below the 5 year badge and if I make it to 20 years then I'll move them around a little. Very nice I thought I had another year to go 😀

  4. Will never forget. I remember being called in while on furlough (the ONLY day in over 30 years that I picked up the phone when a city number showed on caller ID). There was intel (thankfully wrong) that plane(s) might be bound here for the Willis (Sears) Tower. What I particularly remember is the dead quiet for what seemed like an eternity afterwards as all air travel was suspended, especially living just 1/2 mile from Midway International Airport. Eerily quiet. 60 Minutes did a great show Sunday. If you didn’t see it live, I’m sure it can be located online somewhere. 🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸

  6. Here are some pictures of the rear wheel housing. I bought new housings, but only used what I needed.

  7. Very cool! I look forward to hanging one of those in my forever/retirement garage in 8 more years. Which now has me thinkin’… what do I get for my 2 year anniversary in the FGMCC? Cardboard drink coasters? Mustache comb? Air freshener?

  15. My 72 has a mild roller cam and lifters with a 700r4 and 3:73 posi in a 8.2 10 bolt if I get on it slightly it will chirp the tires easily. I am getting around 14 to 16 MPG since I put on the Holley Sniper EFI which is better than the Eldebrock 1406 was getting at 12 MPG

  16. It's like having another family member in the house I bet. I have those same feelings towards mine and I have only had it since '04. Can't let it go. If I did ,I'd buy a C3 Corvette and spend all my time working on it just to drive it. That's the Mechanic in me. Glad to see you have kept it in the family.

  18. It would be great for you to become a member. Best $25 you'll ever spend. I'll get some info from the guy who's built my Turbo 400 in / near your area. Need to know what transmission is in your car, rear axle ratio/ size tire( inches tall) that way you can get correct speedo gear( bet it's off). I'd say 2200-2400 stall. Mine(2004r in now), has a switch to leave it out of o.d. if needed.
