I will put my new purchase here since I bought it for parts for the pos 70, if I decide to do it. It’s a 71 and was, and is pretty much rust free. Then came “ the accident “. 35 mph crash ( ya I lied when I was in trouble too when I was a kid). Insurance company paid out almost 15,000 and it came with a salvage title. Roof is perfect, that may be already sold, but the back half of the car is very nice. So I got all my patch panels now.

I finally got the kits and decals needed to build/finish 5 more Harry Gant cars. I found out Harry drove a first gen Monte in the sportsman series so I’ll be building one of those. My first car was a 1976 Cutlass S and Harry drove that body style (76/77 Cutlass S) in his NASCAR Cup rookie year so I decided to build that car too.

And anyone else in the path of IAN . Tropical Storm scenario here, and a few tornados touching down so far.

Just got this '72 home, 3 owner, 46K, 350/350, AC, mostly original, typical rust around the vinyl top area. Cruises real nice, has 18" rally's with 245F & 255R.

Just pop it off and take it with you. Any auto parts store should have it. I always called it the air cleaner vent filter or pcv filter in air cleaner. It worked for me. They are only ( well used to be) just a couple bucks.

i just finished armor plating my windows, so I should be okay. We are experienced hurricane "observers" and have taken all the usual precautions.... with plenty of liquor in case things get dicey

Looking good! Here is a pic of "Big Red" my 70 SS. It has a 9" dual diaphragm booster. Don't let the stock valve covers fool ya, there is a 3/4" spacer under them to clear the roller rockers.

Hey Jeff the radio will fit a Monte and Chevelle dash . The Monte dash and the Chevelle SS dash are the same other than the Monte having the woodgrain. It will also fit the regular Chevelle sweep dash.

I have quite a few models in my collection, cars, 4x4 pickups and Blazers, Baa Baa Black Sheep Corsair and Japanese Zero planes, and semi trucks and trailers. I haven't sat down to work on anything for a couple months as life gets in the way with other projects. I do intend to build this one in the same color that I'm painting my Monte Carlo. I have a cowl induction hood for it to match the hood I bought for my car.

That poor monte looks cold, it should be inside when the weather looks like that.
