  2. Since Ive been called out (Just Kidding) talking about my blue oval ride too much and was asked for pictures. Pretty well optioned vert, even has factory a/c and came off the line with a 351C factory 4 barrel. Pretty much stock.

  3. Mark, Not to highjack this thread, and I know this is a Monte Carlo forum, but I would love to see pictures of this blue oval car you speak of. I’ve been curious for a while now.

  5. Now here's a blue oval, my brother's best friend just finished this one up. This is a real 32 Ford cabriolet roadster, flat head v 8 and all. Car came out beautiful he has had a few of his cars featured in magazines. He was at the nationals with us this year but not with this car.

  8. Nice Cougar Mark. I have a few friends with them, none convertible. The 351C, C4 and a 9 inch rear were a stout package. The convertible with AC is rare too. With a triple black car it’s probably necessary. Enjoy it !!!

  9. Beautiful cougar! Had a friend, back in the day test his new torches on his cougar convert. Running/ driving car by literally cutting it in half. Circa 1987ish. 😳

  11. Very nice Cougar! My wife had a 73 red hardtop with a 351 C 2bbl W A/C, but it was stolen shortly after we got married. She misses it to this day and I understand how bad I would feel if my Monte was ever stolen. Tried many times to find it with no luck.

  12. Yeah, I get it. Except for my Monte, the rest of my vehicles are black. Here's what I started with. Took over an 11 pound spool of MIG wire to do the needed metal work (floors, 3 of the 4 engine compartment panels, patches, etc).

  13. My brother would like a boss 429 for his roadster but they are crazy out of reach for most people. It has a 429 in it now but not a boss. His coupe is getting a 4 cyl but it's going to be a screaming 4 cyl. His roadster is the other one in my sig picture.

  14. The PO did the color change and restoration, can't take any credit for that. Obviously you can see why I started out my search for a first gen wanting a triple black car 🤣

  20. Glad you're on the way home, getting released is half the battle, I'm afraid of the gummies, lost an old filling over a year ago. Luv my dentist but also nicknamed him Dr Pain🤣 (edit) disclaimer the filling wasn't lost eating cbd gummies or any other "edibles" 🤣I know how some of you profile people with long hair 🤣

  21. Thanks Rob. I was in so much pain on the way home, we almost turned back 😢. No pain meds prescribed, just ibuprofen and some cbd gummies my buddy gave me from last time. Much better now that those things are kicking in. Thank you John! Thank you Tom!

  23. Michael, just a note, I am well aware that there were no 72 SS Monte's. Also, you are mistaken when you say that in 72 the only Monte that could get a 454 was a Custom. In 72 any Monte could be equiped with a 454, NOT only a Custom. rob

  24. He built it the way he wanted( or bought it that way). That's fine. I bet he gets asked a lot about it. Probably some story on the car. Anyway, I really like the looks of it. I can remember when our member brought the 427 Blue Monte to the show at the last minute and some people that were looking at it said "yeah, just a few got out of the factory this way" .... Gotta love it!

  25. I believe Rob was being sarcastic about the 72 SS. It was a joke to say there are plenty of them on the internet so it must be true. I can see since you don't know Rob how you read it the way you did though. You could order a non-Custom with a 454 also.

  26. WHAT???? I get the typo but I had to. Lol.

  27. Yes Custom can have any engine but only Custom had 454 and no you seen fake 72 SS since non were made

  28. What do you mean there were no SS's in 72. I have seen plenty of them on the internet. Just a note, for a Custom you could order it with ANY of the available engines, not only a 454. rob

  33. Things are lookin’ quite nice there, Nath! Build Sheet AND bill of sale… NICE!! The build sheet for my ‘71 is in the safe deposit box, so I don’t have it accessible to compare it to yours. However, boxes 55 and 56 are peculiar 🤔…

  37. Yes, 70 and 71 only and not that noticable. To each their own. Great looking car but the emblem add ons ruin it for me. Especially the ones ON the fender. Just saying...

  38. What are you trying to say, my Legendary Rally seats are ugly? Truth be told, not my favorite color either, but black on black wasn't an option this time around, lol. Way more comfortable than the stock ones and like you basically said, unless you're looking for it, barely noticeable to most people.
