it had a t350. is there a certain amount the yoke should stick out of tail shaft once installed? 1" maybe. u joint is correct.

i am doing a 2004r swap in my 70 monte.getting close to putting motor and trans back in.how do i measure dtiveshaft to make sure the stock one will work.searched youtube all i find is how to measure to have one made. seams like im missing something just not getting it. i know yoke has to have room to slide.

i have 70 350 4bbl stock.chiltons calls for ac r44.i cant find any.is there another one i can use thats easier to find.

i have a 70 with a stock 350 with performer intake and quadrajet.am doing a 2004r swap with 12 bolt 373.while i have engine out might change cam.how would a edelbrock 2102 cam work with stock converter. not looking for a big performance gain.this is a nice daily driver.

got it all done.i coulnt get new yoke to go on. i tried a used one that went on good.thanks for all the help i sure was in panic mode.

here is what i figured out.yoke and trany output are 27 spline.my problem is i have a new slip yoke on my driveshaft and i dont know why but it wont go on tailshaft. so i found a used yoke and it slipped rite on.

i read alot of people have made the th350 to 2004r swap. most said drive shaft went rite in.from what i can find the 350 output is 27spline the 2004r is 26.did they change yoke? im having trouble finding one with 26 spline.

i counted spines today.my 2004r has 26 output shaft. the slip yoke that was in my th350 has 27 thats why i cant get it to slid in.guess i need a 26 spine slip yoke.if i find one will o.d. be correct.i am going to call builder tuesday see if he knows what is going on

when you did this swap did you use the factory trans lines?

thanks,yes motor stock +4 bbl.trany built buy a shop that does alot of high perf.tranys.

i am swapping my turbo 350 for a 2004r out of 86ss . i tried putting slip yoke from 350 in to the 2004r and goes in about1/8 and binds up.i dont see any burrs or anything that should keep from sliding on. anybody run into this or know what it could be.

i have a 1970 will be installing a 2004r out of 86 ss this winter.is there anything i can do with shift indicator from 3 speed auto to 4 speed auto or do i just shift by feel.thanks

i dont know either. just trying to gather the parts i will need.do you know what would have been on a stock 350 2 bbl. sorry bout dumb questions but havnt worked on vintage cars in a long time.

i am doing a 2004r trany swap to my 70. is the flex plat from the th350 the same one i use on the 2004r. the 2004r is out of a 86 ss. it has the ss converter.

i have a 1970 monte.will a tilt column from a 70-72 chevelle bolt in my car? both are column shift.

i could only find that wheel with 4.5 bs.i have no problem taking lip back some.its a very nice monte but mot 100% original.

i have american torque-thrust d 15 x 8- 4.5 rear spacing.i want to put 275/60r15 ta radial on rear of car.anyone have experience or opinion on this fit?
