  1. Going back to pocono next Tuesday! Looking to push it a little harder…
  2. Thanks for the update. I’m going to wait until I save up for a terminator x system. I did see that Holley releases a Sniper 2. Supposedly all of the “issues” have been addressed

    Exhaust

Yesterday I took it out for a good spirited blast to get the coating on the tops hot so it would cure properly. I had all 4 windows down. Sat at 2 stoplights. Didn’t notice anything but I will keep alert for that happening.

    Exhaust

Thanks. No they do not rattle. I kept 1/4 inch between then and the frame and the rocker pinch weld. Also installed a hanger just inside the frame rails and at the rear of the muffler. Engine has solid mounts so the exhaust doesn’t move to much.

    Exhaust

So I took the time to fab up some exhaust pipes to exit in front of the wheels. Went from 3 inch pipe flares out to 2x10 rectangle and then to 1 1/2 x 12 . Still have 5 1/2 inch to the ground. My headers are 5 inch from the ground and my rear sway bar is 4 3/4. https://youtube.com/shorts/Jq5a8KgpRFk?feature=share

    Exhaust

I track my car, you can see my thread in modifiers-pocono raceway. I have 3 inch exhaust and with all of the suspension mods in the rear there isn’t much wiggle room for the tail pipes. If I have to make suspension adjustments I usually burn myself on the tail pipe. My car is lower than usual also. That is why I asked for muffler type also. I can possibly modify my current muffler to tuck up under the car better. Then I was thinking of a 1 1/2 inch x 6-8 inch rectangular exit at the pinch weld

    Exhaust

Does anyone have the exhaust exit in front of rear wheels? Pics? What muffler and how is it with the windows down? Thanks in advance.
  9. Found it. https://www.firstgenmc.com/forums/index.php?/topic/26494-borgeson-steering-gearbox-install/
  10. There is a thread on here that is not too old. Shouldn’t be hard to find. I put a replacement on for a 1988 Monte Carlo SS. I’m pretty sure I needed a new rag joint and adapters to get the lines hooked up.
  11. Mike, you could put what we referred to as a “cold control” switch in the system( this might be what you are referring to). It is basically a probe that goes into the evaporator and when the temperature gets too cold (enough to cause a freeze up condition) it shuts off the compressor clutch. Most times it is just wired to open a relay that is inline with the compressor clutch circuit
  12. I retired 3 years ago lol. It’s good. I keep busy with my rental properties and the cars. Looking to build another garage. you should try some of the track stuff at pocono and we should get a drink or something and actually meet some time
  13. Sorry to hear about the car. Always raced at Numidia. I did see a Monte in town yesterday. There is also a black one around. How is retirement going?
  14. Mike, We talked a while ago. Back in the 90s I worked at Scott Chevy. You have Curt's car if i am not mistaken. I live right near Strange Brew on the south side. Did you happen to be in Emmaus yesterday with a Maroon Monte?
  15. I’m still figuring out shock settings and tire pressures. Also some transmission programming. The only problem I had was the coolant temp got up to 225 or so at times. I’m going to try some kind of scoop under the bumper to force air up in front of the radiator
  16. I’ll post the rest soon. I’m waiting for them to upload
  17. Some of the officials told me that…
  18. I finally got the 72 on the track… https://youtu.be/nQN2t2Omz-s I will post more videos as I get them uploaded
  19. Idea- It might look good to mount that led in the reflector. Not sure though. Id have to see one
  20. Let’s us know how it works out for you please.
