  1. Yes Joe, you are correct, I hate the flowjunk mufflers. Lol. I personally like and recommend the ultraflo mufflers. Way quieter and all the cars in F.A.S.T. run these mufflers. They flow way better. BUT... like you said, to each their own choice. Here's a quick video. Doesn't really do the mufflers justice. Quiet inside, little roudy outside through tailpipes. 2. Welcome Jeff! Like it has already been said, a great bunch of people here! Pics!!!!!
  3. A 4 or 3 speed manual on the floor also has the "back drive" it locks the column and shifter when the key was removed. Factory theft deterrent.
  4. I believe we recently helped someone with the same type issue.
  5. So sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers for his family and friends. 😥
  6. Welcome Dennis! Like Joe said, we love pics! Lolol Love the color of your Monte.
  7. Yes, you need a big block fan shroud for a 1970 chevelle. Make sure it's for a 70. 71 and 72 are different. Then attach your "tunnel" onto the 70 shroud and you have a BBC Monte fan shroud.
  8. Here on the forgotten NY island, Staten Island, we felt the 4.8 quake and the 4.0 aftershock. House shook in all directions for a few seconds. All is well.
  9. Still a nice piece of machinery you have there.
  10. First time seeing that for me. As far as I understood some early 72s didn't have the seatbelt warning light which gave the woodgrain face of a 71, no provision for it like yours has. Or it has the seatbelt warning light. Again, yours is a first for me.
  11. Hi Dave. Th350 or th400? All GM cars are to be running, in park on level ground with fluid warm to check for correct level. A th350 completely empty of fluid usually takes 10 qts while a th400 takes 12 qts unless it has the deep pan which takes 14 qts total.
  12. Happy Easter Everyone!!!!!
  13. It was an option. My 71 402 4 speed has factory installed air conditioning.
  14. I for one feel these new patches are way better than what is previously been offered. Thanks for the pics Dennis.

    My 76

Dad had a 77 GP SJ. 400, th400, 10 bolt posi that he bought new. Was a daily driver till it no longer wasn't.
  17. I have MSD 8.8 wires with a/c sparkplugs in "Big Red" pertronix wires, cap, electronic ignition conversion, coil with a/c plugs in "Barn Find". Obviously the set up in Barn Find looks like stock. It all depends on the "look" you are going for.
  18. Here is another shot. I have 1/2" spacers with a factory stock valve cover.

    My 76

    I had a 454 74 Monte Carlo, 3-76's 5-77's a 78 and a 79. Still love the 70-72's the best.
  20. On big Red I used a 9" booster from inline tube. I also, like Joe have a vacuum pump hidden under the front of the driver's fender, behind the windshield washer reservoir for extra brake boost. Don't know if I actually need it but from past builds, l just added it.

Welcome Zachary! Great find! More pics please. Lolol
  22. Who makes them? They LOOK better than the other ones and these have the trim fastener holes. 🤔
  23. Hi John, my door panels are not cloth. I don't believe the factory did them in cloth. They are legendary door panels and match the rear factory panels exactly. I believe there are 2 types of vynal on the panel giving the appearance of cloth.
