  1. Mark the new transmissions are in.lbs. The specks for the older transmissions should be 12 ft.lbs & 8 ft.lbs for a powerglide. That is right form the shop manual.Hope this helps. Roman!!!
  2. Well you heard right,71/72 are the same. 70 is different at the corsuport.
  3. They wouldn't let me buy the shell back. Or I would have made a race car out of it. OH WELL!!!what's done is done.
  4. I had a 79 Z28 that some [censored] hole stole the next time I saw it there was nothing left. Then I had a 85 442 that someone stole and I never saw it again. So I know how Ed feels so I'm sorry for getting so mad. It's just not right you put a lot of time & money into it to get it the way you want then someone thinks they can just take & do what ever they want with it. NO THOSE FUC#ERS SHOULD BE BEAT TO DEATH
  5. I hope someone finds the mother fuc#er that stole your car. And beats the [you said a naughty!] out of him. That's bullsh!t. sorry
  6. Ed did you get your car back? Or hear anything more about it?
  7. I am very sorry to hear this.May GOD be with George and his family. He seemed like a great guy all ways willing to help everyone. I will miss him being here. Roman!!! ( we will miss you George)
  8. Hey clock!Once you have the 400 in you measure from the tail shaft of the trans were the yoke slips in. To the rear end were the Ujoint sits. The center half. PS I have a new 400 with shift kit. no brake WITH COVERTER and yoke. Let me know if interested. ROMAN!!!
  9. Monte is RIGHT but let the car warm up first. It makes it easyer to ajust. Just my two cents. Not trying to step on your toes Monte.
  10. Well you got me thinking about this one now. So I looked it up.The botom line off the trans is your presser line and should be hooked to the top of the rad.Because of the flow of the fluid. It sould run down, not be pushed up because it make the pump work harder and makes more heat. And thats not good for the trans or the pump. Now the best way to hook it up would be to go from the botom line on the trans to the top of the rad, from the botom of the rad to the top of you trans cooler the botom of your trans cooler to the top of your trans. That way you have more cooling and less strain on the pump and the trans.Hope this helps.
  11. Hey kevin I think you were doing a great job with the club. when ever I E MAILED you it seemed like you got right back. Well I want to say thanks for every thing you have done for this club.If it wasn't for you we wouldn't have this club.Well what ever you decide good luck,I wish you the very best. Roman!!!
  12. Do you have a picture of one on a monte?
  13. mr70monte I CAN'T TELL YOU WHY IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE THATS JUST WHAT I WAS TOLD FROM A GUY AT A TRANSNISSION SHOP.HE TOLD ME IT COULD BURN OUT THE TRANS.BUT I'M NOT A TRANS GUY I'M JUST TRYING TO HELP. BECAUSE THAT'S HOW I WAS TOLD THEY SHOULD BE HOOKED UP.IF THATS NOT RIGHT THEN I WAS TOLD WRONG.
