  2. very sad news, I always enjoyed chatting with him☹️
  3. GM hinges new or used (unless worn out) are the best, remember to lube all the pivot points if the hood is not laying down all the way...try raising the front of the hinge...yes I know it sounds backwards
  4. I had the pleasure of meeting Jim back in 2015, may he rest in peace, real nice person.

  6. Tony, I'm so sorry to here the paint rep position fell apart because of this stupid virus🥵 one the bright side you have a profession you can return to to care for your beautiful family. And me knowing the person you are and that your past employers are eager to have you return says everything about the person you are! I wish you and your family all the best !💀 (I know you guys love skulls!)
  7. some of you know I have acquired a C5 vette and while on a C5 page on Facebook I had a guy respond to one of my posts and his last name in Dodsworth yep Aaron's dad!😎 he also has an '03 C5 vette, we shared some PM's and had a great time speaking with him!!! Aaron...your dad is awesome!!!!! is there a way I can reduce the size of my video clip at the bottom?
  8. I know where there is a set of NOS upper trims pieces but they are outrageously expensive
  9. under the heater box on the firewall, right below where the blower motor duct is....there is a partial VIN stamped, it will be upside-down looking at it, so if you ever have to remove the heater/AC box you can compare the dash VIN to the one stamped on the firewall sadly the only way to see it is by removing the heater/AC box or maybe by removing the blower motor and using a bore scope another thing to check is the steering shaft at the steering box if the end plate is welded on...it's a small block steering shaft if it has a retaining bolt and can be removed...it's a big block steering shaft
  10. remember...SS454 could even have a bench seat, buckets and console were options even on a SS
  11. it depends....your intake maybe for a square bore carb, so you would need an adapter (square bore to a spread bore)
  12. readjust the idle mixture screws and then adjust idle speed, while you're at it...double check the timing
  13. it all depends on how you are measuring your pinion angle ideally...you want the pinion and the transmission running parallel to each other http://www.hotrodhotline.com/md/html/drive_shaft_harmonics.php
  14. you want the angle of the (trans/driveshaft) the same or within 1 degree of the (rear axle/driveshaft)
  15. sounds lean at idle, Qjets like the idle mixture screws out 3 or more turns, not like the norm of 1 1/2
  16. if it's not the fast idle cam, the throttle plates might be hanging up, could be carbon build up, the carb warped, shaft bushings worn, or the plates moved on the shaft
  17. there should be a part number on them, maybe you could google the part number
  18. trying to tune a double pumper for a stock engine will be the tricky part
  19. it could be 2 different things... idle kicker for AC or anti-dieseling solenoid which when the engine turns off, it closes the throttle plates to prevent engine run-on
  20. awesome! but are they ever really "done?
